The Lease Program at Red Line Equestrian is an extension of our Horsemanship Education & Development Program, designed to provide riders with increased independence, responsibility, and consistent riding time while remaining fully supported within a structured educational system.

Leasing is not a standalone opportunity—it is a progression step toward long-term horsemanship development and eventual horse ownership.

Lease Options

We offer flexible lease arrangements based on rider experience, goals, and horse availability:

  • 2-Day Lease
  • 3-Day Lease
  • 5-Day Lease (Full Lease)

Each lease level increases riding access and responsibility while maintaining structured oversight and horse welfare standards.

Lease Philosophy

The Lease Program is designed as a pathway to ownership, not an end goal.

Through leasing, riders develop:

  • Consistency in riding and horsemanship
  • Responsibility in horse care and management
  • Independent decision-making within a structured system
  • A stronger understanding of what horse ownership requires

Riding & Program Guidelines

To ensure safety, consistency, and proper horse development, the following apply to all lease arrangements:

  • Riders must be actively enrolled in the Horsemanship Education & Development Program
  • One lease ride day per week must be completed as a structured lesson or group instruction session
  • Lease riders are the only individuals permitted to ride their lease horse on lease days
  • Riders have flexible access to their horse on designated lease days within barn hours
  • Full use of arenas and facility spaces is included during lease time
  • Access to approved tack and equipment is included

Riding Restrictions

  • Lease horses may not jump above 2’0” under any circumstances
  • Horses not in the lease program are limited to 18” maximum jumping height unless otherwise approved by management
  • Riding must remain within the horse’s training level and program guidelines

Show Eligibility

  • Riders must be actively leasing a horse to participate in off-property horse shows with their lease horse under Red Line Equestrian
  • All show participation must be approved by management
  • Show eligibility is based on horse readiness, rider skill level, and program progression

Lease Program Access

Lease riders receive structured access and support, including:

  • Scheduled ride access on designated lease days
  • Full use of arenas and riding facilities
  • Access to assigned tack and equipment
  • Opportunity for independent riding within program structure
  • Continued instructional oversight and progression support

Lease horses remain part of the broader training system at Red Line Equestrian to ensure consistency, soundness, and long-term welfare.

Getting Started in the Lease Program

All prospective lease riders must first complete the Introduction to Leasing Program, which outlines lease structure, expectations, barn policies, and horse management responsibilities.

Completion of this program is required prior to entering the lease program.

Following completion, riders are placed on a lease waitlist, with horses assigned as they become available based on rider suitability, horse availability, and program progression.

Introduction to Leasing Program

This is a required onboarding step for all future lease riders.

The program covers:

  • Lease structure and expectations
  • Horse care and management responsibilities
  • Barn policies and safety standards
  • Rider accountability within the lease system
  • Overview of available lease horses and suitability matching
