These policies are in place to maintain a safe, respectful, and well-managed environment for all horses, clients, visitors, and staff. All individuals on the property are required to comply.
General Conduct
- All individuals must treat horses, clients, staff, and property with respect
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, including barns, arenas, and hay storage areas
- Dogs must remain leashed at all times unless otherwise approved by management
- Minors under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times unless otherwise approved by management. Individuals aged 16 and older may be on the property without supervision only with prior approval from management
- All individuals are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and their horses in all areas
Facility Use & Stall Safety
- Arena and shared space use must be considerate of others
- Arena time may be limited during peak use if others are waiting
- Management reserves the right to close any arena at any time
- All equipment must be returned to its designated storage location after use
- Any damaged equipment or facility concerns must be reported promptly to management
- Hay nets, water buckets, salt blocks, and similar items may not be hung on stall gates in the Lower Barn
- Stall equipment must be secured only in approved locations to preserve stall integrity and ensure safety
- Horses may only be tied in designated tying areas within the indoor or outdoor arenas
- Tying in either barn is only permitted using designated cross ties
- No tying is permitted in the outdoor arena or round pen
- Tying to stall fronts, stall gates, or any stall structures is strictly prohibited
- Boarders are welcome to bring additional equipment for use in the arena, including jumps and obstacles, with the understanding that these items may be used by anyone on the property
Horse Care & Safety
- Only barn staff are permitted to handle, feed, or turn out horses unless otherwise approved
- All feed and supplement changes must be approved and coordinated through management
- Owners feeding more than two supplements must pre-portion all supplements in approved, clearly labeled containers
- Grain and supplements may only be stored in the owner’s personal horse trailer and are not permitted elsewhere on the property. If the owner is not providing their own feed program and the horse is on barn-managed feeding, all grain and supplements are stored and maintained in the barn feed room
- Boarders must promptly report any injury, illness, or change in their horse’s condition
- Outside trainers, farriers, and service providers must be approved in advance
- Helmets are strongly encouraged for all mounted activities
Riding & Training
- Jumping is permitted only during scheduled lessons with an approved instructor
- Unauthorized jumping or use of jumping equipment is not permitted
Products & Barn Environment
- Strong perfumes, sprays, and heavily scented products are not permitted anywhere on the property
- Products that may cause permanent staining or damage are prohibited, including MTG, hoof black, and similar products
Tack & Equipment Storage
- All tack and equipment must be stored in designated lockers
- Lockers must remain organized and fully closable at all times
- A maximum of two (2) blankets may be stored at the stall, along with necessary overnight wraps or turnout gear
- All additional equipment must be removed from the property unless otherwise approved
- Horse treats may be stored only in fully sealed, airtight containers
- Management is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misplaced personal items
Visitors & Haul-Ins
- All visitors must check in prior to handling or riding any horse
- Signed liability waivers are required for all visitors prior to entering the property, regardless of activity
- Minors under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise approved by management. Individuals aged 16 and older may be on the property without supervision only with prior approval from management
- Haul-in visits must be scheduled in advance
- Proof of current vaccinations may be required for outside horses
Payments & Billing
- Board and training payments are due on the 1st of each month
- Late payments are subject to a $10 per day late fee
- Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated
- Services not included in board (lessons, therapies, etc.) are billed separately
Training Policies
- A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a training spot
- Training commitments must meet minimum duration requirements as outlined in the Training program
- Training typically books 6–9 months in advance; early inquiry is strongly recommended
- Owners are encouraged to participate through lessons and scheduled visits
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to observe training sessions
Health Requirements
- All horses must be current on vaccinations, deworming, and farrier care
- A negative Coggins test is required annually
Emergency Care
- In the event of an emergency, management reserves the right to contact a veterinarian and proceed with necessary care if the owner cannot be reached
- All veterinary and related expenses are the responsibility of the horse owner
Weather & Turnout
- Turnout schedules may be adjusted based on weather, footing, and safety conditions
- Management has final authority on turnout, blanketing, and weather-related decisions
- Horse and human safety will always take priority
Liability
- All riding and handling activities involve inherent risk
- All riders and visitors enter the property at their own risk
- Signed liability waivers are required for all boarders, riders, and visitors
