Fedden is a 16.1h Liver Chestnut Gelding. With two even white socks and a perfectly symmetrical star and snip this handsome boy gets noticed wherever he goes. A true liver chestnut, he is often mistaken for a bay with his almost black mane and tail. While he darkens in the summer, come spring time he is almost a shiny gold!
Fedden retired sound from the track after 60 starts in October 2022. He was restarted primarily in dressage and competed at the 2023 Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover. He finished 10th overall in Competitive Trail and 30th overall in Dressage, competing against roughly 100 horses. A perfect gentleman, he didn’t put a foot wrong all week and was seen around the Kentucky Horse Park babysitting young, nervous thoroughbreds and showing them how to be the perfect show horse.
Fedden competed extensively at USEF/USDF Sanctioned shows in 2023, primarily at Training Level. His many accolades include multiple 1st place wins at Training Level with scores in the upper 60s and low 70s. He was Open Reserve Champion at NWDA, and won TIP High Point against 15 other Thoroughbreds at 3 different shows.
He has also sorted cows, been swimming in rivers and lakes, done multiple obstacle challenges and been on several overnight trail rides. He has also given lessons to advanced beginners and intermediate riders.
Fedden wears regular front shoes but requires no other maintenance. He is available for on-site lease in Moorhead MN.
