About Me
I grew up in riding and training in Sweden and was fortunate to enough to have the opportunity to ride many different horses and ponies, including FEI trained schoolmasters, young green-broke Arabians, Icelandic ponies, and former police patrol horses. I trained in a variety of disciplines with a focus on classical dressage, while also studying jumping, long-lining, groundwork, and colt starting. I have also shown and competed in Western gaming in the United States. My speciality is in working with horses with behavioral difficulties or movement challenges.
My focus the last couple years has been on Off-Track Thoroughbreds. I have a great love for the breed and have chosen to focus my training on Thoroughbreds.
I have been instructing in the United States for several years, training youths and adults both English and Western. My focus is on teaching the rider to understand how to use their body to effectively communicate with the horse, creating a harmonious partnership between horse and rider. I take on students at all stages of their riding journey, from complete beginners to advanced riders. I have students competing in Western gaming, Dressage, and Jumping. I am available for private and group lessons, full day clinics, and schooling show judging.
I also take horses in for training, including tune-ups, groundwork, and discipline specific training. My training methodology focuses on creating a willing partnership between horse and rider. All horses are taught to use their bodies per classical dressage principles, creating a strong foundation for every discipline.
In 2023 I competed at the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover finishing Top 10 in barrels with Clyde Park, Top 10 in Competitive Trail and Top 30 in Dressage with Lonesome Phil. I also competed at the TIP Championships, finishing 4th overall in dressage with both horses.
